About motion
Motion should explain a change, acknowledge an action, or help a person follow a transition. It must never be required to understand or use the interface.
Use motion with a purpose
Prefer short transitions that connect cause and effect. Avoid ambient movement in a dense documentation workspace where it competes with reading.
Respect reduced motion
Honor prefers-reduced-motion. Remove nonessential animation while preserving immediate state changes, progress information, and success or error feedback.
An intentional extension
Motion guidance is an added UX Prototype foundation. It is not yet mapped to a dedicated page or verified motion token collection in the captured V1 files.
