Connect to the hosted catalog
Add this URL to an MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP. The catalog is public and requires no account.

"ux-prototype": {
"url": "https://ux-prototype.com/api/mcp"

}
}For repository collaborators
Local installation is optional and requires authorized access to the private application repository. You do not need repository access to connect to the hosted catalog above.
1. Install your authorized checkout
git clone https://github.com/Lincoln-Studios-LLC/ux-prototype.git
cd ux-prototype
npm install2. Add it to your MCP client
Replace /absolute/path/ux-prototype with your local checkout path. The client starts the server when needed. You do not need to expose a web port.
{
"mcpServers": {
"ux-prototype": {
"command": "node",
"args": [
"/absolute/path/ux-prototype/node_modules/tsx/dist/cli.mjs",
"/absolute/path/ux-prototype/server/mcp.ts"
]
}
}
}3. Start with a question
Ask your agent to list UX Prototype components, read the rules, and get the tokens. Browser-created themes are stored locally in the browser; export them before using them in a separate agent workflow.
Local HTTP connection
While the development server is running, compatible Streamable HTTP clients can connect to http://127.0.0.1:3000/api/mcp. This reads the public catalog; it does not grant access to private Figma files or browser-local workspaces.
